Great news! Starting 9/1/2020, the Franklin County School Nutrition Program will be able to offer free school meals to all children in Franklin County, age 18 & under, regardless of eligibility. This will be applicable until 12/31/2020. Students may still add money to their accounts to purchase ala carte snacks and any money currently in accounts will remain and can be used to purchase snacks or for meals when the free program ends in December. If you are part of the virtual learning program or have children at home that are in this age range please contact your local school cafeteria manager and let them know you are interested in picking up meals from that school. Children do not have to be present when meals are picked up. We encourage all parents and/or guardians to complete the free and reduced application available online at fcstn.net/schoolnutrition or you can receive a paper application at school. Doing this now will ensure that the proper eligibility will take effect when this program ends. If any charges have already been incurred on your child’s account, these monies are still owed. If you have any questions, please contact the School Nutrition office at 931-967-7635 or 931-967-7034.
