Bio

I am the middle son of a Baptist minister and a school librarian. I have lived in Madison County, Alabama for fifty-four years and as a resident of Tennessee for two years. My wife, Joanie and I will soon celebrate our twenty-first wedding anniversary. We have returned to Huntsville,
Alabama to be available for family and friends. Our son and his wife live in this area and we have just recently welcomed our first grandchild. I recently served as the Principal of an Elementary School in Tennessee. I retired from previously serving for twenty-eight years in the Madison County, Alabama school system. I taught secondary social science and coached basketball and baseball for eight years at Madison County High
school. For nineteen years, I served as an assistant principal for several schools under differing capacities. I have also worked as an adjunct professor at Calhoun Community College. I owned and
managed a family restaurant business. I also served as an Alabama Realtor for two years. I hope to continue to pursue avenues and methods to serve others in a productive capacity. Helping others to learn and prepare in order to create a better world for themselves and their children is my ongoing passion. I can think of no better way to live this life than by serving and helping others.
